CCAN AND CARPENTERS TEAM UP FOR
RECORD SETTING GOLF OUTING
With the co-sponsorship of the New York District Council of Carpenters
Relief & Charity Fund, the Coalition Against Child Abuse & Neglect's
23rd Annual Swing Into Spring Golf Outing was a record setter, raising
over $160,000 to support the non-profit agency's services to Long
Island's children and families.
CCAN Executive Director Cynthia G. Scott said, "In addition to
the event sponsorship we counted ourselves fortunate to have had
John Fuchs of the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters as
Honorary Chair and Joseph Olivieri of the Association of Wall-Ceiling
& Carpentry Industries of New York as Honorary Starter. We appreciate
the commitment shown by these carpentry industries leaders to our
mission to serve these special children and their families."
Also, Ms. Scott noted the contribution of the 2006 Golf Committee
headed by Thomas W. Paccione, HSBC Bank USA. The Committee members
